Clearing the Cache of Web Browsers on Windows There are a few things you need to know in order to clear the cache of web browsers on Windows. First, make sure that your web browser is up and running. Second, open the Start menu and type “cmd”. After typing “cmd”, press Enter. Now, open the “C:\windows\system32\config” folder and find the “Cache Settings” file. In this file, you will find a few settings that will help with clearing your cache. The first setting is called “Cache Size” and it can be found at the bottom of the file. This setting can be changed to anything you want it to be, but we recommend setting it to at least 100mb. The second setting is called “Max Age” and it can also be found at the bottom of the file. This setting can be changed to anything you want it to be, but we recommend setting it to at least 6 months. The last setting is called “Delete On Exit” and it can also be found at the bottom of the file. This setting can be set to true or false depending on how you want your browser to clear its cache when you close it down or quit it for good. After finding all of these settings in your Cache Settings file, make sure that they are set as desired before continuing with this tutorial!
